When this family reached out to me, they didn’t just want traditional family portraits, they wanted to remember the feeling of being together and having fun. We decided on a cliffside spot just south of Balmedie for their family photoshoot experience in Scotland, and the location instantly gave us Peter Pan vibes: waterfall, wild grasses, and that expansive sky that feels like anything is possible. It’s one of my favourite hidden gems near Aberdeen, wild, cinematic, and ideal for families who want something a little more adventurous.
