Family Seaside Photoshoots can actually be one of the more adventurous sessions, the east coast of Scotland is full of cliffs and dunes (think stairs down to beaches and sandy hills), and to get to the water, we can go on quite an adventure.
Beach & Cliff locations include Dunnottar, St Cyrus, Balmedie.
£350
Family Hillside Photoshoots offer plenty of room to be free and explore together. I believe we don’t need much to spark wonder in our children (and ourselves!). Aberdeenshire and the Cairngorms offer some real hidden gems & locations off the beaten path.
Hillside locations include Cairnomount, Ballater, Loch Muick and spots in Braemar.

Family Riverside Photoshoots are designed to feel straightforward and easy, making them perfect for young families looking for a relaxed experience surrounded by enchanted woodlands.
Riverside locations include Maryculter Woods, Potarch Bridge, Glen Dye Woods, Cambus O May and spots in Braemar.

Each type of location can be perfect for any stage of life your family is in, we can make it wild and adventurous or keep it gentle and serene. Scotland is our oyster!
For other family photoshoot locations in Scotland beyond Aberdeenshire such as Glencoe and Aviemore, there is an added travel cost, enquire for more details.
What if my children don't behave?
I get it. I'm a mother of a very ~feral~ 5 year old boy. I never expect your children to be perfect and I won't be put off by the wildness of childhood. Let you children be their wonderful selves, play, running, tears, joy, whatever comes our way. We'll follow their lead and make it fun.
How do I book a session?
Send me a message via the contact form. We’ll discuss your ideas, location, and any other ideas or questions you have.
What should we wear?
I recommend earthy tones and textures. Clothing that feels good on and complements Scotland’s beautiful outdoors. I offer you a styling guidance after booking to help you choose outfits.
What if the weather doesn’t cooperate?
Scotland’s weather is part of its charm, but if conditions aren’t ideal, we’ll reschedule or find a cosy indoor location. Unless there is a weather warning, we'll usually be okay outside!
I don't see a lot of faces looking at the camera, will I get any like that?
Of course! So, I don't always post the full on child smiling at the camera photos for a bit of privacy & peace of mind for your family! You'll have plenty in your gallery of their beautiful faces. I do try to get a couple standard portraits if you want them, but that is not my main goal in the session, I'm all about connection and closeness between you all, and in-between moments of joy and love
A note on image delivery
I deliver all the photos I think matter in your story, and they are all there for you to download at no extra cost.
I've always hated the experience of having to pay more after investing in the experience. Choosing 5 or 10 images is so hard, and you'll notice you like different things about different photos years down the line. So I allow free downloads of all your digital files.
