What it’s like to book a newborn photoshoot with me

I love to offer natural, baby-led sessions at home or in the fresh air. While the first thing that comes to mind with a newborn photoshoot in Aberdeen is wrapped up, perfect little babies in warm spaces, it’s okay if you want something different.

The first weeks after your baby is born can, and will, feel like a blur. You might be recovering, and adjusting to your new way of life. A photoshoot may have felt too overwhelming before, or not your thing, or you just weren’t ready.

And that’s completely okay, I’m here to do it another way.

Around 2-3 months your baby becomes a little more robust, and mama feels a little bit more alive. They are awake a bit more, maybe making new faces, and stretching out. You have gotten to know them a little bit more and you feel like you are finding yourself again in this new version of life.

It is such a beautiful time to be photographed. And something about being outside with your baby feels so natural.

My approach to newborn photography near Aberdeen is simple. We take it slow. We find a serene space, and we do the things that feel comfortable in the moment. We pause and settle, whatever is needed for you and your baby. It’s not as much about capturing the brand newborn baby, but reflecting the bonds that are shaping each day, each minute, and reflecting how this phase feels.

Newborn Photoshoots usually last 60 minutes, but can go up to 90 minutes with room for breaks. Sessions are baby-led and free flow.

EVERY BOOKING INCLUDES:
– Collaborative planning beforehand to make sure you feel comfortable
– Mood board creation and styling guidance

A full session is £333 and there is a 25% non-refundable payment in order to secure your slot. Full payment is required before the date of your shoot. 

You will receive at least 50 artfully edited digital photos with this session and a chance to purchase prints from my fine are print shop. There are no add-on costs for downloading all digital images.
