Cottagecore in the countryside: Family photos in Scotland

Recently, a finalist for Scotland's Home of the Year welcomed me in for a glimpse into her cozy eclectic Quiney Cottage life. She had her sister and niece over for a fun afternoon of eating fresh strawberries and gardening. They dressed up and had a tea party in the uniquely curated space. I loved capturing them in pockets of light. The home was filled with happiness, and laughter and it was such a joy to spend time in their cozy space.

The atmosphere was made even cozier with candles creating a warm and inviting feel. It was a wholesome family afternoon that embodied the spirit of slow living in Scotland. Rachel put so much into making her house a home, and she really wanted it documented so she could remember this exciting time in her life.

Photoshoots are a perfect way to hold onto feelings, and you can come back to them over and over again.

This unique and charming cottage in the Scottish Highlands made for the perfect setting for a fun family afternoon. It's moments like these that make us appreciate the simple joys of life and the beauty of family bonds. Scotland's Home of the Year finalist's cozy cottage is a true gem in the heart of Scotland.
