Recently, I had the joy of photographing one of Scotland’s Home of the Year finalists at her beautiful, cosy cottagecore home—Quiney Cottage. Nestled in the East of Scotland, her space is full of charm: curated corners, collected treasures, and the kind of lived-in magic that feels straight out of a storybook.
We spent the afternoon the slow way—fresh strawberries from the garden, tea parties in sunlit pockets of the house, and lots of laughter echoing down the hallways. Candles flickered, little ones twirled, and everything about the day spoke to a life well-loved and well-lived.
Rachel poured her heart into making her house a home, and she wanted to capture this chapter—to hold onto the feeling of what it’s like to live here, now. That’s the beauty of interior and lifestyle photography: it’s not just about the spaces you create, but the memories you build within them.
If you love cottagecore vibes, thoughtfully designed homes, and the kind of moments you’ll want to revisit again and again, documenting your space with loved ones is a beautiful way to celebrate it. Whether it’s a cosy afternoon at home, a garden gathering, or simply life unfolding in your favourite corners, I offer relaxed, natural photography that tells your story as it really feels.
If you’re proud of the space you’ve built and want a photographer who sees the heart in every room, I’d love to hear from you.
